Park Plaza« Hotels & Resorts Celebrate Lumiere London the Light Way
Launching January 15th, in celebration of the second spectacular edition of the Lumiere London light festival, Park Plaza® Hotels & Resorts will showcase a month-long installation of three light-inspired Orbs by award-winning sculptor, Mark Beattie MRBS. Featuring various metals and neon, Beattie’s pieces will sit pride of place in the public areas of Park Plaza London Waterloo.
Lumiere London will see more than 40 UK and International artists transform the country’s capital into a vast nocturnal outdoor exhibition, offering surprising perspectives on famous squares, buildings and streets. With so many of the art sites just a short walk away, both Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London and Park Plaza London Waterloo make the perfect base to discover the whole event, ensuring every opportunity to get in on the glow-in-the-dark action.
Complementing Beattie’s masterpieces, there will be illuminated floral displays by Chic Flower Designs. Each floral installation incorporates neon and lantern components to reflect the interiors of each hotel including cherry blossoms at Chino Latino restaurant based in Park Plaza London Riverbank and other locations across the hotels and resorts, neon orbs and swirls at Park Plaza London Waterloo and neon sculptures at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London.
They say you eat with your eyes, but if you fancy letting your taste buds takeover for an evening, then the exclusive ‘Dinner in the Dark’ at Florentine (Monday 22nd January) will be right up your street. Designed to heighten your culinary senses, guests can look forward to dinner brought to life by candle light and luminous table decor.
Chino Latino will be hosting two Dinners in the Dark. Lit only by beautifully hand-crafted paper lanterns and bespoke floral illuminated installations, the event will take place on the 17th and 22nd of January with their new seasonal Asian Pickle menu. Executive Chef Werner Seebach is creating a series of illuminated dishes as a surprise for the occasion as well.
TOZI and Brassiere Joel will also be hosting candle lit dinners with specially designed menus on the 17th January.
