Expectant Mums can eat for two in style with Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes' new baby shower afternoon tea.
London, 3 May 2011 - Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes has launched an afternoon tea for expectant Mums which can be personalised with balloons and table decorations and themed pink, blue or yellow upon request.
Located on Baker Street, the boutique hotel is just a short stroll from Marylebone High Street - home to Cath Kidston, The Little White Company and Bonpoint - making it the perfect place to head to after a girl’s shopping trip.
The mum-to-be and her closest family and friends can relax on plush sofas in the hotel’s cosy lounge area and enjoy being waited on hand and foot. The menu includes:
Pregnancy-safe sandwiches – no soft cheeses or shellfish
Pastel cupcakes – choose from pink, blue or yellow
Scones and cream
Pink champagne and non-alcoholic fizz
“Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes has always been popular for afternoon tea, but in recent months we have seen a huge increase in baby showers,” says Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes’s General Manager, Pascale Fioretti.
“Originating from the US, baby showers have been sweeping the UK and our afternoon tea is the perfect combination of a very American tradition meeting a truly British custom.”
The baby shower tea costs from £23 per person and groups can also book treatments at the hotel’s Aurora Spa, including manicures, pedicures and facials.
