About Eindhoven

Whether you enjoy museums, nightlife, sports, or recreational activities, Eindhoven is a destination that offers a little of something for everyone. Museums, such as the modern art Van Abbemuseum and Museum Kempenland, the city's cultural history museum, allow visitors the chance to connect with the area in a unique way. Also popular is Genneper Parks, a massive complex of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, stables, pools, covered and outdoor playgrounds, a zoo, and more. You can enjoy seven golf courses and three theme parks in and around the city. If you want to venture from the city, the countryside surrounding Eindhoven is easily accessible, and the village of Nuenen, where Vincent Van Gogh lived and worked for many years, is also nearby.

Eindhoven Airport is the second largest in the Netherlands and serves both civilian and military air traffic. Because the airport was heavily bombed during WWII, a number of discovered bombs in construction zones surrounding the area had to be removed and diffused.
